 |
|
Just randomly checked gocompare for insurance quotes and I put the "policy start date" to 2 days after I turn 20 this month.
Insurance drops from £80 a month to £50!
Current policy started beginning of december, so I was wondering if it's worth starting this years NCB from scratch for that £300 saving?
Thinking about it, it would probably be easier as every year, 2 days after my birthday I'd be getting renewals through and my extra year of aging will be taken into account instantly
What do you guys think?
Edit: Just got one for a bandit 1200 and it's exactly the same as what I'm currently paying for the 600...hmmm tempting! ____________________ Bandit 600 - deaded |

Yeah, I am wondering what leaving fee's they'll throw in as I only realised the other day that I got an online quote stating all the facts right, only for them to send me my certificate with one of them wrong. I corrected it and sent it back to them only to receive a letter stating it's an extra £30 a year. After thinking about it the other day, I realised that they probably did that on purpose so they could squeeze an extra few quid out of me as the original cost was what was quoted with all the facts right! ____________________ Bandit 600 - deaded |

Would I?
I'm thinking of cancelling my current policy and taking out the new one all at once. Unless there's some rule I don't know about? ____________________ Bandit 600 - deaded |

I ave noticed something similar wit my quotes. I ave just (Feb 6th0 turned 21 and my TPFT quotes for a certain SV650 in the local Suzuki dealers (2002, 33000 miles, £1850) have dropped from an average of £800 to more like £500
For me only just got my licence and 0 years NCD this is a significant drop and it is seriously tempting just to cancel my insurance, sell the CG and get the SV. Financially that is a poor move at the moment for me, I will just be happy sticking it out on my 125 until my insurance runs out in September and bag my NCD and buy a nice bike with (hopefully) my greatly inflated savings balance from getting some full-time hours at my workplace (currently part-time) ____________________ Honda CB500s (1999) - Honda CG 125 BR-J (1991)

Well mines now cheaper all around for everything.
Bandit 1200 would cost the same to insure as what I'm currently paying for the 600.
Late 90's supersports are around £600, which is seriously tempting!
What's stopping me is the fact I've just splashed out £300 on tyres and fitting plus the fact I haven't really got the most out of the bandit yet as we haven't really had any decent weather.
Maybe I'll wait a year and treat myself for my 21st ____________________ Bandit 600 - deaded |

D'oh! £136 for insurance lol. Man, I'm getting shafted Feb.
2nd feb = bike insurance - £136
1st March = bike tax - whatever it is for a >600cc nowadays. - needs new battery £60 hence sorn
1st March = Celica needs insurance - £750
I wish my celica insurance was as cheap as the blade! They're more or less the same age and are valued at more or less the same - £2k, but the fact that I've only had my car license for 18 months doesn't help my cause. I'm on admiral's 10 month policy so I rack up 1 years NCB in 10 months. ____________________ The Tot 2019 Z1000SX - 2007 R1
