Old skool wins.

Any pitfalls I should be aware of? I have the 400 so presumably it's not all that dissimilar. I'm not expecting the handling to be sharp by any definition.

ta Thumbs Up

Sling will go better and handle better. Look for 1989 to 1991.

I had a 91' model that looked like the black one in the pic. Great little bike and as much as I love my Firestorm I do find myself missing that wee gixxer.

The water cooled ones are lardy as hell and come in various paintschemes, all of which are disgusting. Being water cooled they lose the traditional GSXR virtue of simplicity and easy servicing. In fact the only advantage they have over an L or M oil boiler is about 5mph on top speed.

Oh cool. So oil boiler it is then.

I might just go straight for the 1100. I love my 400 so much I just want the man-sized version.

The main thing now is slabbies are getting "collectable" and expensive.

The main advantage of the 750 slabby over the slingshots is that the slingshot 750 weighs as much as a Panzerkampfwagen VIB and the slabby would float away in a stiff breeze.
