Bandits currently got mismatched tyres on it, fronts the wrong size too.
Rears got a plug in it, so might aswell change the pair.
OEM sizes are 110/70/17 & 150/70/17. I currently have a 120/70/17 Pirelli on the front & a 150/70/17 Bridgestone rear. Do I go for a 120/70/17 & 160/70/17, or stick with standard?
With that out of the way, what rubber performs well? Don't need mega miles anymore - looking for grip. 4-5,000 miles from a rear is fine. Looking for something that warms up quick, gives a bit of confidence in the bike. At the moment it doesn't feel like it turns in quite right - I believe due to tyre profiles & the front doesn't feel good in the cold or wet.
Reccomendations? Loved my pilot sporty's on the little bikes. Something that feels like that would be perfect! Ta much ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

They're old tyres though. Check the date on the sidewall, once a tyre gets to 5 years old from production, the rubber starts to harden and 'go off'. |

Michelin PR2s or PR3s - both excellent tyres in wet or dry conditions and fairly hard wearing too. |

Good tyres yes. But i cant believe they are still that expensive. I remember having those on my zx6r 5 years ago and even then they were being replaced.
Standard Pilot Power's are around the same sorta money now aswell. ____________________ Suzuki GT250 x7------- Fazer 600------CB250RS------Aprilia Rally 70----- Bandit 600
