Need a rant so thought this may be the best place to get some sympathy and abuse.
1. Took my CBT April 2012
2. Took my theory and obs test May 2012 passed with nearly full marks.
3. Took Mod 1, passed no minors. Went round the course like a boss.
4. Took my Mod 2, July 2012, passed no minors. Examoner commented "That was a perfect ride".
So here is where it gets complicated.
Due to an accident when I was 18 I can't bend my hip joint. So I had a kliktronic gear changer put on the bike.
Examiner makes a note of this and then sends my licence off.
I then get a letter from DVLA asking about my medicla condition.
* Note (Before taking my bike tests I had no legal obligation to inform DVLA, but had to when I took bike tests).
They wrote to my doctor last September, he said it is not a problem and my hip does not affect my riding.
The DVLA want to know if I am fit to ride/drive and am capable of riding a bike safely.
Isn't it blindingly obvious as I have taken all the tests to confirm that I am safe and competent to ride a bike????
The rant is that I have still not goit my licence back yet.
What are the DVLA doing. I phoned them today and they are only just catching up with applications.
What a bunch of twats.
I have got photocopies of licence and hard copies of test certificates just in case.
Before long it will be a whole year since thay have had my licence. ____________________ Current stable: Yamaha XVS 650 1996 - Honda Super Magna VF750 1988. |

Glad I've barely had to deal with them, from all the stories I've heard recently. But you can still ride anyway, right? And just tell your insurer (accurately) that the DVLA still haven't sent you your new licence. ____________________ Yamaha RXS100 [returned to mate], 1982 Honda CM125 [stolen], 1982 Suzuki GS850G |

If you're suffering loss, send them an invoice. That's all they do to us. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
