I own a 1995 Suzuki DR125SE, I hit the right turn signals and they both stay solid. I hit the left and they both blink. Do you think that this could be a turn signal relay problem?

Quite possibly. How long have you owned the bike? Have the turn signals worked before?

Generally, with indicators it is going to be either wrong wattage bulbs fitted, bad earth, low battery, switch or relay. Check the bulbs first and give the fittings a clean.

I have replaced some of the bulbs, I bought the bike last summer. The turn signals did work then. I removed the relay but I don't know if I should just buy a new one.

If the relay works on the left hand signal but not on the right then it's unlikely to be the relay at fault.

When you replaced some bulbs, were they on the right hand side and did you use the correct wattage? A non-flashing relay tends to indicate (ba-doom tish!) that the bulbs aren't drawing enough current to cause it to operate correctly. My bet is that one or more of the bulbs are too low a wattage on that side.

I hear indicators malfunction if the rider doesn't have a soul.

Depends on whether it was lost to a pact with the devil.

I put in a new bulb that was the same as before, The front right bulb died and after that the right side always stayed solid.

Check the front right bulb initially and make sure it's the correct wattage. Then check the rear right bulb for the same if the front is correct. Then if both are correct, check connections and earths on that side. Something isn't drawing enough current to operate the relay.

Non-electronic flasher relays work on the the principle that heating a bimetallic strip will cause it to bend in a given direction (the strip is made of two metals with different coefficients of expansion sandwiched together so that when heated, one side will expand more than the other and force the strip to bend away from the largest expansion). There's a coil wound around it that's in series with the bulbs and one of the relay contacts is on the end of the strip. When the bulbs light up, the current drawn will heat the coil which in turn will heat the strip. When it's heated, it bends and breaks contact which causes it to cool and bend back. The cycle repeats as long as current is being drawn. If there's insufficient current drawn due to too low a wattage bulb being fitted or a poor connection/contact then the strip won't heat up and the relay won't operate.

The relay works the same for both sides and has a single contact. The flasher switch determines which way the current goes - to the left or right side.

No, just take a look at one you didn't change and see what is wrote on it. Generally they are 12v 21w BA15S type. You can get these from any car shop.

Yep, this.

Bulbs are generic. As long as they're rated at the correct voltage, correct wattage and have the same fitting, they'll do the job nicely. No need to splurge on potentially expensive OEM stuff at all . Thumbs Up

I took out the turn signal relay and It seemed fine inside. I hit the right indicator and it blinks once and then stays solid. I hit the left and It makes a sputtering noise and then blinks normally. I replaced the front right bulb last summer, I didn't know the voltage, could this be a voltage problem?

it will be stamped into the metal around the base. This is not the correct bulb but does show where they are marked.
