Yesh, I bought these, for no other reason than I fancied them at the time Smile. They're cool, they weigh a load more than the originals, but the fact they're curved in 2 axes makes them an absolute bastard to fit Confused .

Oh well still more tarty than the originals Very Happy.

Full titanium knee sliders.

I heard a story somewhere about them gripping and flinging you off your bike, nasty results. Have fun.

I've experienced this a few times with my full ti motrax ones.. never fallen off but it's gripped a few times which is a bit un-nerving Shocked

I used some spidi ones off a friend and they were BRILLIANT could lap roundabouts with my knee down all the way for ages with them but not with the titaniums!

I know someone who got spat off his R6 3 times because his titanium slider gripped!

Titanium sliders are not full titanium. They're a plastic puck surrounded by titanium, which when it wears through causes the slider to grip inconsistently.

That's why I haven't bought Titanium sliders.
That and the fact that I'm not a knee down god.
The only thing I am as far as GMKD is concerned is not-a-knee-down-virgin Laughing .

Performance Bikes recently conducted an interesting survey which showed that roller skates and balti dishes are also great knee down material.

There was a point in time when my bike was touching the floor via the front tyre, and the rear tyre, and my knee slider.

The fact that i carried on scraping my slider even after the back tire got bored and wandered off just proves my dedication Cool .

Nice boots Bendy Cool Thumbs Up .

I find the teardrop sliders tend to fall off my velcro... they are far too curved for my legs/leathers at least.

Nopt good when you have to run accross a busy roundabout to retrieve them.

I've never got on with the teardrops, way too hard for my liking (I find them uncomfortable when kd! poofy hey? lol) Positive thing is they seem to last a lot longer than all the other sliders I've tried.

I've got some full titanium ones and not had a problem. I canlap roundabouts and not worry about excexx grip, though they are a bit grippier than the plastic ones.

I took my teardrop sliders off my leathers cos they were really thick!

Everytime I stuck my knee out I was touching down sooner than I expected and either making myself jump and wobbling, or standing the bike upright again Rolling Eyes

They are o.k if you are still learning KD, but you will find them too big when you can do it consistently.

The WIZ sparky sliders are the best ones for pyrotechnics IMO cos they are plastic sliders with Ti bolts in them (about 8 or 9 I think) so they give off a nice spark, but don't grip like a Ti coated slider does.

How do you fit sliders to leathers - do you need a velcro patch on the knee? I have a pair of leather pants (given to me) but no velcro bit - can I just sew one on or what?

Titanium toe-sliders anyone?

Cheers
G

You can get self adhesive velcro patches for trousers without them.

Seem to work pretty well.

Grr these sliders are too curved - I have skinny knee but fat armour, so that when I bend my knee half of the b*stard thing pulls itself off Evil or Very Mad (My knee Wink ).

I sense buying some velcro and a sewing machine coming to mind.
