Most have vents now. Check the helmet vents are open (usually on the outside of the helmet).

There are a million and one anti fog inserts and sprays available from all good bike shops. I'm sure someone will drop by and recommend one.

Incidently, I don't need anything with my takachi helmet as I keep the vents open.

Yeah ta. I got a 'Nitro' or some such name helmet. I did open all the vents after finding them all which helped a bit-but as you said i'll enquire about these inserts/sprays etc... ta.

Fog City are the way to go in my experience. It works absolute wonders. Mine cost me £15 fitted to the helmet I got in August from HG.

Lovely-these seem to be popular so i'll give them a go-at that price it doesn't really matter if they don't sort it out 100%.

Hmmm. I guess the best thing to do is trial and error. That way i can see if it works and then how it feels. Confused

Fog City. Thumbs Up Works really well, better than the spray I've used, but . . . .

Motrax Fog Free spray. Thumbs Up

The spray has lasted me ages, a couple of squirts on the inside of the visor and a lint free cloth. It does sort of need reapplying every night, but as I said the little can has lasted ages and only costs about £4.

A necktube thingy that covers your mouth then breathing through your mouth may help, that stopped what little fogging I ever had.

its probably a dumm suggestion but it worked for me,

why dont you leave a couple inch gap, it stops the rain/wind from getting to you and stops the steam (downside is there a small draft and your face goes numb lol).

I have glasses and fount it a right pain till my instructor told me about it and it works. Although when you pull up at juinctions and not moving the wind cant get to the glasses and they steam up but the visor is still good. If you beath down aswell it prevents them from steaming up.

Hope this helps,

Shane

I use a foggy mask and it works great, when it starts to smell I just put it through the washer.

All the products are good.

But remember that once you get going things generally steam up less unless its freezing outside...

Wearing balaclava will trap alot more heat in (Ride says 70%) but it'll also raise the temperature of the ait under your visor.. hence leading to more steaming.

I can get away 7am 30 minutes journeys if i dont wear a neck warmer since its as cold inside as it is outside , but with one on i use Anti-Fog spray. Most are good, but rememebr to take it with you or coming home will be misty! (only lasts an hour or two effectivly a coating)

Washing up liquid, thats what I use and damn its cheep compared to some of the lotions and potions on the market.

Granted it needs reapplying but its a good excuse to clean the visor!

Breath out through your nose, air gets directed downwards and out of the helmet, works for me! Very Happy Thumbs Up

I had a fog city hyper optic in my old lid. was almost clear in the dark and changed to a dark blue in bright sunlight, it was realy good. It might be work considering for you other lid as it means you can use it when going out in bright sun when you know you will coming home in the dark.
