honda cm 125 loosing power

hi i wonder if anyone can help my cm is loosing power at full throttle when i am riding it,it revs fine when in neutral cleaned the carb,and air filter if i ride it around town its ok but when i went on the dual carrigeway it wouldn't go over 40mph it seemed like when you are running out of petrol and need to switch to reserve that's the only way i can explain it thanks all

Would of said a clogged up air filter but since you've checked that, next thing i'd say would be the fuel pump, it may need replacing.

Edit: IGNORE THE ABOVE, you're bike doesn't have a fuel pump. Sorry for giving wrong advice, hope u didn't waste time looking for a fuel pump for ur bike.

It's a small bike, at those speeds your probably getting an equal amount of fuel into the carb as the carb is using and therefore hit a peak in power as you cant get fuel in faster.

Try making the breather hole bigger so you get more fuel flow.

EDIT: When was the last time you went over 40?
