They're a bugga to get off!
If you're replacing them with new ones, just keep trying and prise them off anyway you can!
Either way they are not easy to get off or back on, brute force will, ultimately, get them on and off, there is no clever way to do it!

Indeed. At least you know they're not going to come off though.

I cleaned the carbs out , i have an ultrsonic cleaning machine , put them all back on the bike and now there is fuel coming out of the fuel union , little brown plastic pipe at the front of the carb , is this a seal or float problem . 1989cbr600f , thanks

I presume you've split the bank to clean them?

Either you've shagged the o-ring or cracked the t-piece, they're made of bakelite and will be very brittle due to age.

I didnt spilt them , just took the tops and bottoms off , clean needle and brass bits at the bottom with holes , it does feel wobbly in the hole , can you take it out without taking the carbs off, and just replace the o ring.
