I passed my Module 2, I did kill 5 kittens though. DSA Derek was a really nice bloke, but a bit of a stickler. Said I was riding too close in wet conditions, pretty much a dry line everywhere, no rain at all. Had a few traffic light incidents, I lost him three times but I did it right so no issues.

Now to try out some different rides! Thumbs Up

Came home to find my kevlar jeans had arrived. Pretty much a win I'd say.

True, especially if another spirited ride with Hetzer,Doovy & Silky pops up again. Generally though I break down before I get done for speeding, so I'll be ok I think.

Result! So, no need to "re-restrict" the bike in the car park? Very Happy

Removed the L Plates and waved at yesterdays DSA Derek who was walking down the road towards me with his bacon sandwich, as I was RIDING out of the test centre and without L Plates. I pushed it out yesterday. Gave him the thumbs up and he shouted well done. Although they both asked curiously about the bike and how it got there, neither asked if it definitely wasn't restricted. It's done and that's that.

I genuinely feel bad for having left you behind both times without my knowledge of you having broken down until too late.

Well done for passing, that's great news Thumbs Up

Don't worry it didn't bother me. I had bigger things to worry about.

Haha, more like wheel bearings and a non-starting bike with fuse/relay issue! (different occasions)

Well next time you'll be fully legal and hopefully mechanically sound to last the race length! Thumbs Up

Presume OP took his test on a 125 before JAn, and has now decided to take the test again on his (un)restricted bike

Thumbs Up When I started this (in the tone of a reality TV montage) JOURNEY, I wasn't sure how far I'd take it, or even if I'd stick with it. I did the Old A2 (but not A2 as it didn't exist, but did on the tests etc. etc.) as there wasn't a lot of time before the rule change and I thought what the hell. Now I've got the 650 and had the hassle of not being able to road test anything as they had to be restricted, it was a bit of a bind. Although I was 18 months off automatic Full A, I decided I wanted the freedom to try other bikes and not have the hassle with insurance. So I went and did it.
When we get some sunny days I shall go down to the dealers and try some other bikes.

Nice one. I don't want to bleat on about doing the bigger bike tests on your own machine, but it really is the way for the rebel/anti-authoritarian to go. Just gotta keep it on the DL just in case any officious DSA types are reading.

When I did my A2 on my own machine, the bloke did ask me how I got here, and I gave him a very vague and unconvincing story - but he didn't need to hear any more and off we went. Probably helped that he was running 30 mins late and doing the test from a car.
