I have a 97 CBR600F and it has no clock on the instrument cluster.

I have an old watch which sits in my map pocket of my tank bag, but when I'm out on a ride, I generally don't have my bag with me, therefore no clock.

Anyone have any ideas about fitting a clock, preferably digital, to the cluster? And where I can get one small enough??

Cheers chaps.

I superglued an old digital watch to my dashboard.

It fell off the other day though. Now I just have an imprint with lots of small text on it next to the speedo.

Use good superglue Neutral

Something like this can be mounted anywhere convenient where you can see it, use glue or no more nails sticky pads for the win.

Pound shop fake casio watch.
Pull off straps, velcro to the tacho (on mine it's in the middle hence only blocks the pivot for the needle).

Bonus stopwatch feature.

I've never had a clock on my bike but it certainly would come in handy.
Might see if I can find something at a pound shop.

The only use I can think of for a clock on a moving bike is to tell you when to pull over and take your Bad AIDs medicine.

A clock is pretty fucking handy when you go out on your lunch break and want to know how much time you have left.

Not that mine works on my bike anyway.

Just wear one of these:

It's in easy reach should you need to tell the time, also you'd be doing a service to all other bikers, riding towards you, that don't have clocks.

If I've ever needed to know the time whilst riding, I've just worn a watch and checked the time whilst at lights.

On the motorway that doesn't really work.

I mean, I guess I could get a mega large watch strap and strap it onto the outside of my leathers.

But then why not just stick it on the bike?

I wear textiles and have checked it on the motorway Smile With leathers it doesn't really work, but I don't really see the point in leathers on the road.

Is this topic really going to end up a debate between the 'textile' vs 'leather' camps and 'watch' vs 'no watch' types of people? Rolling Eyes

What is the point in one of those?

I mean I can hear them saying "It's so you don't need to use your hands!" but you still need to use a hand to raise it to view it (unless you have big mammary glands to tilt it upwards permanently...hehe, nurses), just like you need to raise your wrist to see your wristwatch. But a wristwatch could just be turned to view from a distance while still making use of your hand.

You can't wash your hands as effectively if you have a watch on.

Cheers for the options people.

I've tried wearing a watch and couldn't get on with it whilst riding.

I'll give the watch velcro'd to the clocks a go, also the watch around the master cylinder.

Don't fancy paying £20 for the Oxford clock, but that may be an option if the above don't suit.

Thanks.
