You do have the wrong one, do the new headlights fit in the nose cone ok ?, if so do the bulbs, have 3 pins for the fitment, not where it plugs to the loom, where it headlight sits in it holder, hope this makes sense ! If it fits the cone, then switch the bulbs over.
There maybe a break in a wire, I have the same problem, I've found mine is in the switchgear wires just before it plugs into the loom, the same probs, no headlight but pass light |

it wouldnt be from an older model. it's probably an import. My 1997 one had one headlight for low and one for high beam.
There's a couple of types of headlight, and a couple of types of wiring loom. The loom's don't fit different bikes though, just to make it easier. You can't just plug a different type of headlight loom in unfortunately.
Get new bulbs that fit, as said before, but this means your light pattern will be a bit messed up. Don't worry about it until MOT time, and go for a daytime MOT. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles.
