 |
|
Puleld up to the lights today, temp was at 82, gave a quick rev to an Audi R8 next to me, as you do..
Yeah, there was a cloud of steam/smoke that came up from the bottom left of the bike. Got home as just so happened to have my camera on me anyway, took this photo of the pipe between engine block and exhaust headers.

Does that seem overly pressurised to anyone else...? Temp hasn't risen over about 90 since owning the bike, doesn't seem to be doing any harm, but with spain coming up, I don't particularly want stuff breaking on the journey... so looking for fixes if needed. |

If you have air in the system it can collect around the thermostat housing/CTS depending of location, giving you a false low reading while the rest of the system gets to silly temps.
Bleed the system properly, then make sure everything is getting hot that should.

While everything is off, it wouldn't be a bad idea to fire it up and check to see if its blowing smoke or lots of pressure out of the breather pipe. ____________________ Suzuki GT250 x7------- Fazer 600------CB250RS------Aprilia Rally 70----- Bandit 600

Those are Braking discs https://www.braking.com/products/view/23
I have them on most of my bikes and especially the KTM enduro.Far superior to the OEM discs and less grabby and more progressive than standard. When I need new discs on the R1 I may well buy them for that bike.
If only I was fast enough ____________________ Just talk bikes. What else is there?
