Varadero, Honda XR, DT125 which?

Which is the toughest? My commute is 80 miles per day there and back I need a machine what can take a lot of abuse.

So roughly 85 mile a day when I have gone to the shops and things.

How much will this be in fuel on a 600CC ? (Keeping my options open). I will be riding it rain or shine I don't care much for servicing other than oil changing it needs to be strong and not leave me stranded.

I like the ones I said plus the street triple.

The XR is bomb proof, i did 1100 miles in 5 days on mine, mostly dual carriageways at nearly top speed and it didn't miss a beat (mine has nearly 45k on the clock)

My friend has a Varadero 125 and will easily do just as many miles, but it is allot heavier and you cant get your knee down on it BUT you can do around 85 on it which makes cruising on dual carriageways easier as you can keep up with the traffic (XR has between 60-70 top speed depending on the weather)

They both don't require much more than regular oil changes although if the Vara is an electronic sensor speedo it can fail if you don't clean it often.

Doing 1100 miles only cost me £60 in petrol on the NXR (XR)

Top speed doesn't bother me so long it can sit at 50 I weigh 9 stones very slim.

The varadero is on the expensive side how better is it?

The Vara is like a big sofa, it is one of the comfiest 125s you can get

It has more torque through the rev range, has fairing, has a larger tank, feels a LOT smoother and is just a nicer bike to ride. But i have more fun on my NXR than the Vara.

Why not just grab a 250? Will cruise a bit more comfy than a 125 and be cheaper to buy/insure

I've owned all three of those 125s and for your purposes you want the Varadero.

XR has the best fuel economy and would be best around town but crap top end. Good for around town but too slow for A roads and above.

DT has the best grin factor (good for wheelies and offroad) but worst fuel economy and reliability. Would make a poor long range commuter.

Varadero has the best road presence, good on juice, way above average cruising speed for a four stroke 125 and highly reliable.

Edit: Just realised who the OP is so disregard any of these bikes as they all require wheel spacers... get a pink my little pony bicycle with tassles and stabilizers or just tell everyone you have an R6 and get the bus

All Varaderos I have seen 07 onwards are over two grand I am not paying that much.

Cb125's again are old rust buckets.

As people say you've got R6 why don't you check by yourself what mpg you can get? If R6 has similar fuel economy to ZX6R then with your intention to ride it 50-60mph you will probably get about 55 maybe even 60 mpg.

My bike of choice for gutless commuting would be something like CB250/500.. for safety you need a bit more power than 125 can offer.. especially on faster roads.

£400 is a big expectation for the broken chinese korean bike that has been arse fucked by a cactus then dipped in vinegar.

I'd do £100 and a Mars Bar, but that is fucking stretching it. I think your dealership has done superb in even bothering to help you
