How did it go?
How did it work out?

Just curious/bored; could be interesting?

Almost a decade ago Cool

Using a white bulb on my peds rear brake light i didn't realise had a not-light colouring 'red' lense Rolling Eyes

Besides it being a dog unit and the dogs going mental in the van scaring the sh-t out of me - quite well, got a producer and the copper said it was like driving behind a lighthouse.
He then noticed i didn't have a front L-plate, asked about it, I said it had probably fallen off Rolling Eyes ... He said get a new when when I can Mr. Green

Fixed the bulb, down the garage, down the station - job done - lesson learned Thumbs Up

What was it for? Not wearing a seatbelt.
How did it go? 15 minute lecture from twat about kittens dying and global warming. And it's all my fault.
How did it work out? Saw the error of my ways, and subsequently saved the kittens.

I assume this isn't a sexual thing.

My previous very stretched chain decided to jump off the rear sprocket, and as I was rolling down the hill into the petrol station I was spotted by 2 members of the local constabulary.
On getting off the bike and breaking out the tools to try and retension the chain one if them happened to mention the lack of MOT...
I'd fallen for that old chestnut of 'it has a full mot'.
It did, for about a month after the sale of the bike. It had ran out and I hadn't realised. So I ended up in the back of the car, apologised about the oversite, got a producer to get an mot within 14 days.
On day 12 my ex-wife took a hammer to my bike, it was booked in fir the following morning.
Pain in the arse woman.
So last tug was justified, I didn't behave like an arse and instead of a fine and points I got basically a warning.

Same as Slimc about 9 years ago, was on a KMX200 and they wanted to see if I should have L's on. It was about 1am though so probably thought it was nicked. They did pull me over just as I got home though bless em.

Last year when I had the DRZ. Had been off roading a bit that day and mud had jammed my rear brake switch on and plate was also covered in mud. Just a case of cleaning it off and went on my way, annoying as I was basically a 2 minute walk from home at that point and had been out for around 12 hours that day.

Never really had a police that stopped when I had had a little crash before she was a biker herself and quite attractive Cool

Thought I'd have a tug on Friday as my MOT ran out and I was riding back from work at 6am had to follow the police car almost all the way home they never pulled me over though.

No number plate on my mean streak. It was in my bag in bits where some numpty had hit it and shattered it. Dude was chill city. Altho he wasn't impressed with my straight through exhaust, he didn't do me for em. Which was nice I suppose.

January this year.

Thought I was an illegal teenager on an illegal dirt bike, I think. Called me young man, despite being 41 years old. Ended up with a fixed penalty notice for carrying a passenger without having foot pegs fitted. But, I kid you not, he resorted to looking up on Wikipedia on his phone about my bike, which he was insisting wasn't road legal at all.(XR 250) Erm. Rolling Eyes

I've never been stopped on my bike (yet!). In my old job, I once got stopped in a trade car with no number plates. The copper hadn't seen the trade plate in the back window. He saw the plate and let me on my way.

But speaking from the other side of the flashing blue light, the last biker I stopped was a young lad on a 125 riding about at night with no rear light or brake light. I don't think he'd realised. I gave him a defect notice and followed him home to make sure he got home safely.

back when I had my 'ped init.
Had the L plate stuck to the top of the rear plastics(behind the seat) instead of hanging from my numberplate, nice traffic cop just gave me a friendly warning to get it sorted Smile

2-3 months ago.

Riding at night without my lights on. Embarassed
I had genuinely turned the lights on before I set off. I must have knocked the switch on to sidelights by accident whilst riding and simply not noticed due to good streetlighting and my dash still being lit up.

I got pulled. Was nervous as there was a few things that he could do me for, like my tax disk being in my pocket rather than on the bike.

Good guy though. He simply informed me that my lights weren't on. Said that obviously it was dangerous to ride like that, I agreed. He quickly asked me to demonstrate that they worked and then he was off on his way!

60 in a 30, few months ago, let off with a warning. Mind you it was a 6 lane dual carriageway 30 zone, so not as bad as it sounds. Pulled for things mentioned in the list below previously.

Wheelying (let of with a warning 1983)

Crossing double white lines (3 points 1984) MOT had run out 12 hours before didn't realise till I dug it out for the producer, managed to get a backdated one first thing Monday morning before I produced my documents at the old bill shop..

58 in a 30 (3 points, 1985)

36 in a 30 (let off due to technical balls up after getting 3 points, 1986)

50 in a 30 (let off with a warning and after being breathalysed, car 1990)

100 in a 50 (let off with a warning, 1992)

80 in a 50 (let off with a warning, 1992)

Probably a few I've forgotten about. I always get shaky legs when pulled over, even if I haven't done anything wrong.

I was once stopped with both rear indicators snapped off whilst green laning after a spill in the Peak District. The copper did the bloke in front of me for a small number plate and the bloke behind me for no tax. He put his clip board on my rear rack, covering the indicator stumps with trailing wires, pointed at my numberplate and told the bloke with a small plate that he should have a proper plate like mine.

I've usually been quite lucky, I put it down to a mixture of grovelling, sobbing uncontrollably, offering sexual favours and being the secret son of Sir Robert Mark.

Was for no L plates and not riding in accordance with my license on my 125cc on the motorway.

Went stupid as I produced my full (33bhp restricted photocard out and waved it at his face) but was told I needed to produce it at the police station - no paperwork given

went to a local police station who gave me a nice statement on paper that I had tried to produce but due to having not been given paperwork, they were unable to record it.
