Take your solicitor, and remember that most of the evidence that they will look to use against you will be what they get from your statement.

This needs better explanation and a mandatory paint diagram.
Sounds like your biker mate clipped your back wheel and made you crash? So it looks like it was your fault for riding badly, when really it was his fault for hitting you?
Can't really figure it out though to be honest.
For me personally, if I were absolutely certain of my innocence I would just go with the flow of it all and just be myself. Nothing to worry about if I was actually innocent. If I ended up being screwed over by the system, I like to think I'd go 'Law Abiding Citizen' on everyone .  |

FWIW, it's very hard for one bike to nudge another bike from behind, and come off better than the bike in front. Steering is fundamental to staying upright, and steering is the first thing that hits anything.
Easiest way, on a bike, to make another bike crash is to brake hard in front of it then accelerate. Even easier if you're in a corner and the other bike is on the outside rear of you.
I've rubbed the rear end of my bikes against things from time to time, and been able to stay on with little difficulty. Not with the front though.

Bass ackwards. Once you've been charged, questioning has to stop. If they charge you, it'll be because you've already incriminated yourself.
So bring a solicitor, or absolutely insist on speaking to the duty solicitor before interview.

You're not there to prove your innocence, you're there to admit your guilt.
I want you to read this very, very carefully. I'll bold the significant bits.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.
There are two ways to avoid being caught out by this:
#1 Give a full and detailed account that's absolutely exculpatory and completely consistent every time that you tell it.
#2 Don't be questioned.

If you really insist on attending despite being advised not to, then prepare a written statement documenting whatever story you want to tell in detail (but just the plain facts), then answer every question by referring to or reading out that section of your statement, word for word. Write it down now and carry it with you, on the chance that they decide to stop polishing their backsides and come out and arrest you if you don't attend voluntarily.
Once you've picked your story, do not change it, or deviate from the written version.
