Yeah, cos going off my experience with bike alarms they just go off for no fucking reason and the most random times - for example, if iits sat perfectly safe in a garage and the alarm goes off just as some thieves are walking past. Just to let them know theres a bike in there!

Declaring any form of lock is like giving your insurer a get out of jail free card.
I don't declare any security whatsoever, it gives them no wriggle room in the event of a theft and it makes no difference to my premium - I've not seen it become cheaper though!

Makes good sense if you ask me, I would have thought more people have some form of security than don't so they've found a way of making extra cash from the majority rather than the minority.
