3 in 1 PTFE lube.

I wrap a wee bit of rag around the tube and try to stick the tube in the cable ferrule then scoot some jiz down the cable. I think it works Confused Smile

I went all technical n' sh-t and got one of these gizmos
https://i.ebayimg.com/t/Motion-Pro-Cable-Luber-Lubing-Tool-NEW-08-0182-/00/s/NDE3WDUwMA==/z/Cv8AAMXQLs5Rv1lO/$(KGrHqJ,!oQFG),iRKmGBRv1lOj)PQ~~60_35.JPG

No idea if it will work yet but if the youtubes have been honest it should make it fairly simple - fingers crossed

I'm sure the pretty colours indicate it has some use Thinking

i use a single thumb screw version of that, it can be a bit leaky when doing the clutch cable, it would be nice to know if that version is less leaking on larger cables

I think i may of actually gone for a single screw one and linked the wrong picture Laughing

Can't be bothered to go unlock the garage but i'm fairly sure i was worried the double one might be a bit long to squeeze in and get a good fit on the cable opening.

Got a single screw one, they definitely work. Might take several blasts.

Ah so theyre essentially maintenance free if lined? Or rather need different lubrication.

Always the small 'simple' things turn out to be intriguing Laughing

Lined cables use a Teflon sheath (or PTFE if Dupont didn't make it DuPont must be credited if the Teflon word is used).

Teflon (PTFE) is the slippiest compound known. It is also the magic in Gore-Tex (Shelltex use PTFE) 'breathable wet weather gear.
