hahaha! We've just got back from Rd 6 this weekend. What an awesome weekend! Nice and warm too. Only spoilt by a sidecar throwing its oil all over the track and then continuing to do 2 laps and covering the track completely. You can see a video of Adam at the first round held in Cardiff by following the link below. It really is a great sport for the kids and is amazing for a good father son/daughter bonding!

Well we're looking at a few options at the moment. The preferred option will be a one off cost of approx £2,500. Their will be no profit made for any of the organisers from this. It is purely being setup to encourage more youngsters on the grid, so hopefully in the future we might see more British Riders at the top level. For this cost you will get a bike ready to race with a sealed engine, and a set of wets on wheels, plus full technical support for the season, all 8 race entries will be paid,
( there will be one a month from March-October ), a custom made one piece race suit and a Shark Helmet. So really it's the complete package minus boots & gloves! However this is something we could look at if we get the numbers. All you need to do is turn up and race! All the engines are sealed to stop any tuning, so it is purely down to who's the best racer, as all the bikes should be the same. We're considering occasionally drawing bikes from a hat at a few of the rounds to keep it fair. We are also talking very closely with the Spanish Championship to become linked with them. This will allow entrants to compete as a "Wildcard" entry in some of their rounds and vice versa. Other options involve bike only prices if people already have their own equipment. However the idea would be to make it more professional, just like the Championships on in Europe. We would want all the kids to look the same if possible kind of like a uniform, all the bikes would be the same colour and the leathers and helmets. This gives the kids a sense of belonging to a real club. We're looking at a fairly big sponsor to help out financially and call the series after their company. They would provide a small amount of financial assistance which would pay for trophies, prizes etc. The prizes won't be cash but something along the lines of a new tyre for the next Rd etc. All the kids will get a T-Shirt, Hoodie and Cap with their name and number on and we will give away a free T-Shirt for the fastest lap or something like that. We have a few ideas we're considering we just need to secure a few more numbers. It's not bad value for money though we think! ____________________ @AP27Moto4 |

Who said anything about kids - if I can ride a minimoto at 6'/80kg, I can't look any less stupid on one of these .
At 67kg your bikes are actually 2kg heavier than a M2R KX140 (off road version, couldn't find the weight for a SM).
With a kid on board, may well get better aerodynamics than a pit bike, of course.
Would expect a pit bike would probably be geared a bit lower, so if anything, would expect the pit bike to be infront until it runs out of gears from what you've said. |

The Mini GP my lads racing at the moment is geared exactly the same as the adult 140 Pitbike class. His current bike weighs in at 92kg Which is really heavy compared to the Pitbikes and he's running about 2 secs a lap slower than the adult times! You could race one of these in the 140 Pitbike class! In fact I bought my son's dry bike from an adult who'd raced it and won in this class the season before with a tuned 140 engine in it. Had to take it out though as we were all forced to run new sealed engines this year. So with nearly 25Kg of weight saving and geared the same they "Should" have the edge on the Pitbikes. I'll be selling his 2 bikes at the end of this season to buy him one of these though so if you're interested The engine in his wet bike has only had 2Hrs 30 Mins on it ____________________ @AP27Moto4 |

I do want a pit bike supermoto as it goes, whether I'll have any cash at the right time is another matter - never mind whether or not my budget meets your expectations . |
