Not as good as an independent IAM day out, they allow you to flaunt the speed limits and are on a 1 to 1 basis, first an assessment of your riding, then some fine tuning on weak areas.

There's quite a few reviews on here. I wrote one, cba to dig it up though. Overall, really really really good.

Went on one a year ago.
WELL worthwhile. Not only from the bike/ riding point of view but the police guys running the event show up a reasonable/ sane and helpful ie in telling you / showing you when where you and they can and will bend the rules - and similarly where they will stick to them.

I've got mine in a couple of weeks. I've heard good things about it though.

Done mine Tuesday just gone as its only £25 including lunch at Frankie and Bennies at the moment until September. I really enjoyed it, guy's were full of good tips about positioning, views, cornering etc. It is a bit of a sales pitch as well for advanced training as its subsidised by TFL. The ride out was good fun, 2 riders to a police officer, you take turns leading then swap on the way back, We covered town riding, filtering and some twisty's and you get a nice goody bag at the end.
You have to stick to 30mph in a 30mph zone but are encouraged to overtake and make progress any where else if someone in front is holding you up by driving below the speed limit. I personaly think its worth doing as I learnt some stuff.

I did it a fair few years ago. Pretty much what Kwarkerz said... The event I went to had an IAM stall, RosPA stall etc. but nobody was pushy or anything. It's nice to get some good, honest feedback from someone who knows what they're talking about. So, go for it Very Happy

It's fun.
Not as good as proper advanced training but still worth to do it.
Especially for the price.

30 is 30 but 60 should be 60 as well.
I scratched my pegs at one bend (not that difficult on my nc700).

You also should overtake whenever it's save.

Well worth the money. The price is probably lower than an insurance discount a young rider in London get after completing the workshop.

Yes very good. For the money, it's a no brainer. £25-35 quid ish, depending where you are and what promotions are on. It's a good day out riding, bit of class room work, lunch included and chance for good natter with the coppers. You also get a goodie back with a decent RoadCraft book (worth a tenner on its own) plus other bits and bobs like tyre pressure checkers, visor cleaners, ear plugs, etc.

Think of it as a stepping stone before undertaking an IAM or RoSPA course. Good for newbie's learning, good for experienced with a fed bad habits. End of the day, it's a chance for some critique and feedback on your riding, from some of the best riders out there. Go with an open mind, stick to the limits, learn the odd thing and generally enjoy it.

Did mine last October. Well worth £35 for days worth of training with advanced police riders.
Our guy chose a decent route as well.

Although to this day, I still haven't received a copy of my report or certificate. Confused
