Do you mean the idle mixture screw? If it's a diaphragm carb, it's under a little rubber plug at the top of the carb, at the front.

The rubber plug is number 54 on this diagram.
The actual screw is number 50.

Then you don't want to touch that screw, it looks after < 1/4 throttle and idle. Not high end, that is jetting, and various other settings.

Mine used to do that too. It was because I'd replaced the carb with a non-OEM Chinese replica, I took it apart and found half the internal parts were slightly different to the actual specified requirement.

If it's bogging down at high revs, it's not getting enough fuel and I think there are a few possible causes:

If it's the original carb then you can rule out anything being the wrong size, and instead I would suggest that it just needs cleaning thoroughly, or the floats (number 24 in the image) and parts connected to that area may be damaged.

However if the carb is a replica or replacement, your best bet is to take it off, take it apart and check the codes stamped on the main jet (parts 16 and 20 in the diagram) to see if they match up with the specific information in the Haynes manual. For example, my main jet was supposed to be something like 102.5Z, but the jet in my new carb had a totally different code stamped on it so I knew it was wrong.

If you can't be arsed pulling it apart and doing all that checking, a new EN/GN 125 carb is quite cheap compared to most others.

Thumbs Up

Is the choke in the correct position? My old bike used to do that when I forgot about the choke being on.
