Tell me I'm not the only guy who has to do this.

Every 25 minutes or so, I have to stop by the side of the road, take off my helmet then fire 2 snot rockets due to my abysmal hayfever. I should really buy something for it. I feel weird. Proper weird.

Fuck the haters.

It's not just you. On Monday I had to stop 4 times on the way to work for this, including once on the hard shoulder of the M4. Took an anti-histamine later that day as it was bad, but it's been OK the rest of this week.

Normally though, I just use a nasal spray (Beconase) for the running nose and MTFU for the itchy eyes.

Loratadine is available from Asda and the like don't bother with the brands the ingredients are the same. Just more expensive.

Same for other types of hayfever pills.

Wish I knew where I could get some unbranded Loratadine from. Or some other types of hayfever pills.

For years I had the same thing. Streaming eyes, nose, throat that wouldn't stop itching.

The hayfever meds would work for about 10 days, then I had to switch product as they just stopped working otherwise.

Haven't had a problem for 6 years. Have some local honey on toast every breakfast. Old wives tale, but might work (took a few weeks to notice any difference).

Yesterday as this fine spell was getting going you could see a haze of pollen blowing of some grass fields.
Doesn't bother me but no wonder some are struggling just now.

At first glance hayfever seems such a faggy ailment but when I scratched the surface I had to reconsider. After all, it's an allergy to flowers, TO FLOWERS! Why could be more butch than that?

Seriously though, seems a bit faggy. Unlucky.

Edit: there's even an ad for an inflatable penis at the bottom of the page.

I know it sound's daft. But put some tissues in side your helmet, easy to get at when the need arises. And a damp face flannel in a bag in your pocket. I find that a quick face wash help's a lot.

It's just a case of just living with it.
