 |
|
So my rad has sprung a leak on the way home from work today, no idea why or how, rad was already bent so might be the eventual result of that.
Is there any way to repair it or am I looking at a new rad? cheapest i've found is £125 not good when i'm utterly skint due to having to move house soon and most ikely be unemployed for a short while ____________________ Current: Honda City Fly CLR125 2003 Honda CB600F Hornet 2008 Yamaha FZ6 S2 + 1991 Kawasaki GPZ500

Had a pinhole leak on the rad of an old bike, this fixed it and I believe it's still fixed now, just stuck a blob over where the leak was. |

not sure exactly where it's coming from, it's the left lower somewhere, not sure i'd trust radweld for anything in the long run by the sounds of it a new rad would be best :/
this is the leak when i stopped when i got home, it was coming out way quicker when i stopped at the lights earlier though

was thinking a new one was probably the wise way to go, mainly due to this one being bent and worn (it's done 80k miles)
the leak is much worse than it looks here but rad had already cooled a bit by this point like i said, lost 2 litres over a maximum of 30 minutes..
will try the bars stuff from halford tomorrow first, if it doesn't work looks like the credit card will have to come out of hibernation ____________________ Current: Honda City Fly CLR125 2003 Honda CB600F Hornet 2008 Yamaha FZ6 S2 + 1991 Kawasaki GPZ500

put a shot of radweld in this morning, was still leaking while the engine was idling (ran it for 25 mins) let it cool down again, just been out for a short 10 mile ride and no sign of leaking now no idea how long it will hold up but will give me time to sort out finances a bit more and source a cheaper rad ____________________ Current: Honda City Fly CLR125 2003 Honda CB600F Hornet 2008 Yamaha FZ6 S2 + 1991 Kawasaki GPZ500
