Hi y'all,
Friend has purchased a the above and is perma flat battery. Told him to get his multimeter out and test the voltage across the battery terminals with the engine off and then idling.

He is claiming at idle it is 12.7v and engine off is 14.4v.

Surely it would normally be the other way round??

Thoughts?

Much love,

Confused Mintah.

A quick search of charging issues on Daytona 600 reveals lots of threads about the reg/rec and stator problems common on the Daytona 600.

Both reg/rec and stator can be purchased here...

He just needs to fathom which one is the issue. Post number 9 here explains how to test which is at fault. Both are easy fixes and can be done at home. Just don't overtighten the bolts on the stator cover or it quickly gets very expensive to repair.
