Anyone know where I might be able to beg, steal, buy or borrow one from?
All suggestions gratefully received. ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

You'll often find that one of the engine mounting bolts is the correct thread. Just screw it in tight and give it a sharp tap wi th'ammer. Then re-tighten and bash again.
Have something soft underneath to catch it when it flys off |

Hi
Got one somewhere in the garage which I can probably lend you. Not 100% certain it will fit a particular bike (it was bought 15 years ago from Kwak, so maybe they have changed the thread sizes).
It is a very crude device. 4 different threaded bars, to you put the right one in place then belt it with a mallet.
Note that the bolt holding the rotor onto the crank often has a reverse thread .
All the best

Thanks Keith, but Himself seems to think it probably won't do. I have taken some photos of the offending "bit" today, this is what we need to fit........ ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

That's more like it! We just can't find anything the right size to do the job. ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |
