 Posted: 23:36 - 22 Jul 2013 Post subject: Gluing Footpeg Rubber. |
 |
|
Hi guys,
Unfortunately the footpeg rubber came off my footpeg on the ZZR yesterday. I managed to save the rubber and it is in good condition.
My only problem is what glue I should use to put it back on?
I'm actually quite para that it comes off again so I could run 3 pieces f lockwire round the footpeg to hold it on as well as the glue.
Thanks for any help. |

Thanks for the help guys. Fortunately my mum had some UHU type glue. I wouldn't have normally trusted this but I have decided to lockwire the rubber on using 3 different pieces of lockwire. I think I'll do the same for the other side to help keep that one on.
It was the type that just sits on top of the peg rather than going right round it otherwise I would have tried something with hairspray or similar.
Thanks again. |

Gorilla glue. It's a moisture-activated polyurethane glue and the most versatile stuff I've found to date. £7 for a good sized pot. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
