Slightly over budget, but worth the £150 extra IMO. The full luggage is worth £300.
Wouldn't worry about the mileage, they are hyper mile bikes and will go to the moon and back, that one looks well looked after. A 1998 bike as well, likely one of the newer you are likely to find for the money.
And they were the fastest bike in the world for about 6 years. Even when it was knocked off it's perch by the Blackbird, the ZZR is still faster in real world situations, with a superior top gear roll on performance. ____________________ Bikes: too many, too much for one man to maintain anyway. |

Looking at it I do think the zx6r represents bloody good value for money these days. I do like the look of the zzr1100's but I think they would be a massive jump for me and I'd prob end up dead in a few months - one for the future tours around Europe me thinks.
I've just seen this on eBay, looks cheap, what's wrong with it lol

Is the 636 much more aggressive sports orientated? It certainly looks it. |

My Monster 750 fits the original bill. £1500 is doable - I paid £1650 for mine, but it was spotless and had only 6000 miles. I do take it for trips across Europe and it is great for hooning... ____________________ current: ducati monster 750

Yes, although it would have to be a steal to get one in budget, don't really want a rough one. Definately a bike il consider and will put on "the list" |

So the relative comfort / styling of the zx6r and the engine of the b1H, sounds like a good recipe. They command a price though so finding one for 1500-1700 is gonna be tough?! |
I have a ZX6R-J2 and I'm going to jump on the bandwagon saying it is just about the best all round bike around for sensible money. It is fairly spacious and comfortable for my 6ft1 lanky frame, will tour 2 up with luggage without issue and when I'm in the mood for riding fast...my god does it do that well
The 636 model does command a bit of a premium and you will go from 60mpg (riding like a granny) to more like 50mpg. Average for my bike is around 50, 60 when doing sedate long rides and 40 for short hoons. For the sake of about 5hp and a bit of torque it's not really worth it. Find yourself a good condition 600 and be happy
I will note that the 6 pot tokico brake calipers they come with need rebuilding seemingly constantly so budget for a set of Nissin 4 pot calipers and braided lines if the bike doesn't have them already (lots do). Feel free to PM me if you need more info.
