One for the lady bikers...

My birthday is coming up and as its a big one (30 - eeep!) I'm angling for the cash for some Draggin Jeans. I've got my eye on the Minx or possibly Slix ones. Was wondering if anyone has tried these and what they thought of them in terms of comfort, fitting, quality, etc? I've read a couple of reviews which say they come up small but this might be just the Slix.

I hate ordering clothes when I can't try them on and this is a lot of pennies to fork out for something that might not fit!

Any advice muchly appreciated Smile

I have some draggin ladies jeans, I'm away from home for a few days so can't check what type they are. I think they may be the Minx ones. Mine are low-rise so unless I wear a longer top I do tend to give the car behind an interesting view! They come up really long too. I grabbed many pairs when trying them on so didn't go by size but they are fairly snug.

I find that the fit and styling of them are very good, stitching is great and they have the extra Kevlar on the knees, hips and arse. I have had them for a fair few years and they still look new.

Thanks for the info Waffles. Maybe it was just the Slix that came up small, but I prefer the bootcut look of the Minx anyway.

Vincent, sadly my local shops appear not to stock them, or at least the ladies ones. They don't cater that well for women or cruiser riders (never mind the two combined) and mainly stock pretty matching sets of leathers and the sort of things more suited to sports bikes, even though I'm sure there are sporty riders who would like to ride in jeans when it's hot! The only exception is the Harley dealership, who of course only stock their own stuff and I'd feel a right tit wearing Harley gear when I ride a suzuki lol

Just out of interest, are there any other female cruiser riders on here? It seems we're not a common breed!

*wanders off to see whether Draggin jeans come in really fat-arse bastard size*

Nope ... oh well.

They're not that uncommon, I see quite a few birds on cruisers ... although perhaps not on BCF Laughing

From a bloke perspective my Draggin jeans are definitely a tighter fit than my Hoods or my normal jeans based on standard sizing. My OH has a pair of Draggins too and similarly, they're a snugger fit.

Female cruiser riders on BCF include Scorps and Yambabe IIRC. Smile

I don't have the jeans but I do have Draggin cargo trousers.
The size 12 is the same size as the 32's.
The ones aimed at men seem to be a better fit than the 12's.

Oops, mine are "standard" fit.

TBH, I'm not that impressed with them, and would suggest that you look at Hood or Sartso instead.

Shereen was asking for phone relief from some Sartso Yank a while back, I believe we're still waiting to see if there was a happy ending to that.

The Kevlar (OK, para-aramid rather than Dupont branded para-aramid) coverage in Hood jeans is far superior to the coverage in Draggins and they're a better fit size for size too. Hoods are definitely better jeans IMO. Thumbs Up

I googled like a demon before buying my first pair of draggin's and everywhere gave the same advice..

...So I bought the size up, which was a mistake. Now I have one pair of well fitting pink camos and a pair of blue jeans which are saggy around the arse. Sad

Are the jeans comfortable and suitable to wear all day? I guess I'm asking if they could be mistaken for normal jeans in terms of how they look and feel?

The Draggin website does say the Slix jeans come up a size small:

Haven't seen that for the other styles though.

Yep, they're comfy. The Draggins have a sort of brushed and soft Kevlar which you won't really notice. Hoods feel odd at first but they're comfy although the Kevlar has a sort of slick feel to it. They're warmer than normal jeans and especially with the Hoods, the lining makes them fairly windproof.
