Hi

Much difference in them?! I like the looks/colours better on a gsxr but apart from that, is there much difference as in performance, daily usability etc?

GSXRs have a more aggressive (kill your wrists) riding position.

Below 40mph it can get painful for long periods of time which is why I hate traffic.

I've got a '95 CBR and a '98 GSXR going from the GSXR to the CBR... I feel like I'm sat in an armchair! Very comfortable! (the models don't change vastly on the CBR).

Do you know this from your own personal extensive experience of both these models? I only ask as you've been asking these exact questions yourself for a few months now, and now are giving out advice on the subject?

Used my srad as a commuter for 3 years, was pretty comfortable, and more than enough power! R1 I have now.... Not so comfortable!

My SRAD felt like it was a barge and my CBR 600 was much more fun, handled better and didn't try to kill me.

SRAD's are shit but that's just my opinion, I've ridden a 600 and a 750 SRAD and they don't agree with me. K1 600 is ok i've ridden one of those and it felt much better and a K4 as well thats the daddy right there!

The SRAD is one heavy feeling thing, I will say that, but going round the corners it feels planted, needs a bit more input to point it where you want (compared to the CBR).

Mine didn't like corners, it might of been down to the tyres, but it felt like I had to wrestle it round corvers. The CBR feels planted and is very forgiving but can be thrashed hard at the same time. I have 4 scars, no spleen, nerve damage and arthritis in my right hip from that SRAD back in 2009, and I rode another after I recovered in 2011. They just don't agree with me but on here they have quite a following with some saying they have sharp handling and aren't that heavy at all.

Just down to opinion I guess, I was just unlucky and a lot could argue that I'm not that skilled of a rider. Laughing
