Passed it this afternoon. Aced the question part and got 53 out of a possible 75 for the hazard perception part so not too bad.
CBT is booked for end of August when I get back from my holiday and if that goes well hopefully on to the big bike stuff.
I am a quarter of the way to getting my full bike licence so I'm today.

Good job
I'd go for the bigger bike to be honest, at your age and with driving experience behind you to give you a bit more road awareness in general you're in a much better position to go for the bigger bike  |

The thing is as you say - in a couple of months you should of passed, i'd really consider if the hassle of buying/selling and generally sorting short-term insurance if not cancelling mid policy [and the various fees that tends to incur] is worth it.
Might as well just save the extra pennies you'd maybe lose on re-selling the bike/on the insurance and put it onto some extras for the new big bike  |
