CBR is FI from 2007, newer shape lights.

I'd go for either an older CBR125 04>06 with low miles or a CBF125.. any year with a replacement fuel pump.

Why would you not have fuel injected, and what year does the fuel injection start on the cbf, its better MPG

Because I've never had an FI CBR, comfy with what I know on the carbed ones.

You are looking to get a 125, anything that is 4 stroke will have decent MPG anyway. Whether its 85mpg or 110mpg, it is still billions better than my 32mpg, and far better than a cars 50mpg.

But, I'd sit on some bikes and see how you measure up, I look like a chimp on a CBR Laughing

I find for some the CBR can be a bit to small. like a clown riding thoes reallllly small bikes. The CBF is a mixture it has sporty feel but not as much as the CBR.

Personally having ridden both I'd say CBF

Generally i was thinking of the honda CBF anyway, its not classed as a sports bike so insurance will be cheaper, and i want quite a late model with fuel injection, so the MPG will be good the fuel will not be a problem in some sense, and if i crash the bits will be cheaper, the overall bike to buy will be cheaper, when i get back from france i might buy one Smile also from what year is the CBF fuel injected? :S

The CBR 0 models look nice.

Prefer them over the old CBRs and CBFs.

But, if I was starting again, CBF.

They have both carb and FI versions. I expect they pay a premium for the squirty injector goodness.

Secondhand CBF is probably a better bet, also able to see how good bad the finish was on that exact bike. If it doesn't look too bad after 6-12 months, then it should wear like other similar bikes. CBR will probably hold value better, so will be more expensive. Essentially, I think the difference between them is a rear disc brake on the CBR and a plastic coat on the CBR.

If I was doing it again, CBF but older. I bought new, foolishly.

CBF, no point paying the premium for a CBR when they do roughly the same speed and better mpg.

Cheap early CBR and you should barely lose anything on deprication.

Not sure the CBF offers much 'more' over the CBR for the likely depreciation and higher purchase cost.

TPO insurance, presuming that's cheapest and likely an early CBR will be the cheapest option for that too.

And one's water cooled, the other's air cooled. With a 6 speed gearbox instead of 5. And a monoshock instead of dual shocks.
