had a letter regards a prelim hearing last week, today another letter came stating under rule 29 we have to send a copy of partners paperwork regarding his claim to his old company and they have to send him a copy of their paperwork, we feel out of our depth but have emailed a local solicitors for help , this is frighteningly complex now Sad

is this pretty much usual stuff?

its the legal process, when you think you cant win a case, bury your opponent in paperwork, and extend the length of the case, all while booking billable hours,

I know this makes me sound a bit thick but could someone explain what they think paragraph 3 means, I read it as we have to get together with his ex employer to work out what we are saying prior to fighting each other???????

They have let it get to this stage thinking that you will give up. They will keep trying this until the day at court, then right up to just before the Judge makes a ruling they will give in and offer that they think you will accept, but hoping it is less than the judge awards you. This is where the gamble comes in as the judge may award you less than their offer. But hopefully they wont be as daft as that and settle soon just to get you out of their hair and to keep their profile clean.

translation

before the start of the hearing both you and the other guys must produce a set of 4 documents that you both agree are accurate and compleate summary of the case
these should be in date of event order, and each page numbered ( so that missing pages are obvious)

one of the 4 copies will be logged with the court for its records the other 3 should be presented for the courts use

im assuming your supposed to have a copy each aswell to refer too

this is how i read it anyway

Serious question Charlie, why would the company say my partners are accurate if they dispute his claim, Confused deffo a solicitor to help us but as we will need a no win no fee one we are a bit stuck for choice

Scorps, Hi, I've got a really good layman's (woman's) book on representing yourself at Tribunal. PM me and I could post it to you if you like. its written by two solicitors, really clear & easy to follow. I won't be needing it again, phew!

Have PM'd reply. Book on its way. Sock it to 'em! If all else fails you can lob it across the court room at them. Laughing

EDIT: I say PM'd, I've either sent you one PM or several but possibly failed spectacularly. Can you let me know? Rolling Eyes
