Insurance quotes Wha??

So I've just got a new job with a better wage I walking distance, so I'm thinking about swapping bikes. So eyeing up insurance to see how much I'm going to get raped by having a more powerful bike. These are the quotes (without even haggling)
Bandit 650 (current bike) - £370 tpft
Sprint st 1050 - £420 tpft
Zx6r - £350 tpft (??)
And the best one
Street triple - £280.

So after seeing these I'm tempted by a ninja or a street triple, even though they are completely different bikes to the sprint.
Ill be doing mostly nice weather rides now with this new job, but usually do a 2 up trip about 200 miles once a year, what do you guys reckon.

(And yes I tried a 98 r1, and got pretty much no quotes Razz

I never thought of the street triple in all honesty as I used to commute 30 miles a day in all weathers and that's cruel, but now....

It will be your change in job title, as I have such a flexible one, depending on what I feel I want to be with regards to car insurance, changing it from a manager to something like a sales assistant brought my insurance down by £450!

Was that looking at all around the same production year for each bike, that'd be the big decider for me probably.

I'd personally go for the ZX6 but thats probably me being biased Razz

Not great for going 2 up is the only negative i could think of but for the odd trip once or twice a year its not unbearable.

I tend to mainly ride mine in good weather and its brilliant for that, but i do see a few guys commuting on them all year round near me, and same with some gixxers and r1s and the like so they seem to be perfectly up for commuting Thumbs Up
