Hard to start after stalling?

If I start my bike (GSXR 750) up on a morning, it starts easily. However if I ride it up the drive and let the revs drop (engine still cold), it will die. (Unless I have fas idle on). It is really hard to start after this, will take a while to crank over until it will start.

What could be the reason for this?

Initially I would suspect tight shim clearances

Then fuel flow

When warm what does it idle at?
