BTW, bump starting is where you put the bike into second gear, push it down the road until you're going near 10 mph, then slowly let the clutch out whilst still pushing. The wheels turn the engine over in place of the starter motor, so it works if the battery is flat. As soon as the engine catches, pull the clutch in, hop on and ride away.
Be careful though, and don't blame me if you drop the bike and break the plastics.
If it's cold, then you'll probably need some choke to get it started. Using the choke puts more petrol into the engine, so it's easier to start. ____________________ I must not be a troll...

It may not work if the CDI unit/Immobiliser relies on the battery to work...

When I re read it I had a little feeling that it may not of been aimed at me, so, all's well with the world, apart from this machine that doesn't start. |

Well i kept it in a warmish garage overnight so hopefully it should be ok-if not-ill look at the battery again.  |
