Have you compared the gaskets from both years?

I'd imagine one from a 1980 and a 2010 would still be the same, the engines have changed very little.

Most Hondas have a sticker saying which model they are, bikes can get registered any time after manufacture so plate not always a good guide.

On most of my Hondas it's been a white label on the frame under the seat.

Because this bike has a electric start and kick start - the gasket set for this bike is possibly different, also this model was supposedly made for 1 YEAR and that was in 2000.
It took us 2 weeks to track down a piston maybe longer.
So I need every bit of help

You need to get out of bike specific parts mentality.

For a piston, you could take it to someone that does rebores and proper mechanics or just has parts and knows what to do with them, like piston-broke in Bristol, hand over piston and say "can I have one like this please" Out with a vernier calliper to measure it and pick one off the shelf
It might be the same piston (just as an example) as a yzrdcbz600.

Your gasket set for the cg could well be the same as a chunglee chang Lbw125. Look around, get parts quickly, cheaply and easily with just a little research.

Also there is a loud mechanical noise coming from valve gear.
Valves snap shut after coming off cam??
Following items have been checked....

Valve Clearance 0.003
Cylinder Rebore 0.50' oversized

Is it a possibility that the Cam Shaft gear is badly worn or broken. This could cause excessive backlash forcing the valve springs to push the cams in the direction of rotation(once lifted) hence causing the the loud mechanical noise when valves quickly return to their seats Shocked

This is also a good answer, you can also buy gasket paper if you feel the need but cereal box works well.

I used a red bull cardboard wrap to make a thermostat housing gasket in the depths of Germany to get me out the poo and it was still there workingwhen I sold the vehicle a few months later.

This is your problem.

The real thing is often hard to get and almost always double the price of somethingthat is just as good.

I do 1000 a WEEK on bikes that have bits that will do the job. I only visit the dealer for specific bits that are just not available elsewhere.

One of my bikes has an engine out of a different make of bike, I use car engine oil, my pan european has a ford cortina air filter in it, the front rear pads are front pads from a different bike and the clutch slave gasket is something i hashed together.
It has saved me a fortune.

Making a gasket will cost you nothing but a little time, if it is no good. (which would be your making of it rather than anything else) then make another or go buy one.

As mentioned above, making your own one out of a cereal box Is a good option, or buy some gasket sheets off eBay.

It can't be that hard to source a gasket for a cg Very Happy

Head gasket, base gasket, crankcase main gasket are the only ones that really matter, though there may be another depending on bike. The vast majority can be done with cardboard or gasket paper, just leave a bit of extra around the edges when you cut it out, and tack it in place with grease.

I remember making a head gasket for my mates TS50's 65cc kit from a Kellogs box when I was 17, worked a treat and don't ever remember changing it afterwards. I think a smear of red gasket squidge was used too.

There's no reason it won't work sometimes, it's just that the thickness can be critical as you change the squish, and so can increase the compression ratio or risk piston contact with the head.

no they are different, a friend rebuilt a guy cg doing the same think, it kept pump oil out of the breather due to the differences
