The lights on the varadero have always been particularly shite. They were pointed so low that they were almost shining backwards.

Have enrolled in motor-mechanics evening class.

I got my wheel balanced on Saturday and it made no difference to the slight wobble it has.

OK, so the bike is working and the job situation is sorted. Now find yourself an instructor you get on with and Go. Take. Lessons.

Some people, e.g. Rogerborg, can learn by themselves. I couldn't, and it looks like you can't either. So get yourself the help you need. And this should be your #1 priority, not maintenance classes.

And I'd seriously suggest you put this kind of post in New Bikers if you want any sort of sensible reply...

So MCW's the new person to be trolled off the forum? At least find someone not liked by anyone & hassle them if you're going to do it. She was well alright at the BBQ.

Perhaps some of the threads could be compacted into one lengthy show/tell thread documenting starting biking as a happy medium? That way those with serious input could pop in and check up on progress & such, whereas it'd require some form of effort to go and find said thread in order to troll it & they'd likely find someone else to go and hassle over whatever it is thats not cool this week.
