Posted: 16:19 - 08 Sep 2013 Post subject: The great Morrisons Carrier bag lie! |
 |
|
I popped into Morrisons to buy a few bits and bobs and the checkout lady claimed she was nearly running out of carrier bags and did I want to buy one of their stronger ones for 12p.
"No way in hell you lying scumbag!" I screamed.
"This is just a ploy to wean people off the so called "free" bags that we have been paying for via your increased profits over the years and which you are now trying to screw additional money out of us by claiming that by charging us for something we are already paying for, we will somehow be helping the planet and not your own profits!!".
I actually said "No thanks" and she magically found some free ones (as is my right as an English gentlemen blessing them with my custom). https://www.motor.org.uk/imagelibrary/Nations/england-flag-v.small.jpg
But I was given (as a gift) a party political broadcast about how Wales and Scotland already charge for them (It's a lie: Wales do but Scotland will be charging later on this year) and that England will be charging later on this year too.
Another actual lie as the government have not yet decided on a date for England.
How sad that the supermarkets are forcing their staff to blatantly lie to customers.
I may bless other establishments with my patronage in future days instead of these rapscallions ....... |

I call Horse droppings Sir.
In Scotland (Bonnie) those cnuts B&Q charge for carrier bags (5p they say goes to charity)
In England B&Q give a free bag with any purchase.
B&Q is a sort of supermarket. ____________________ W-ireless A-rtificial L-ifeform L-imited to O-bservation P-eacekeeping and E-fficient R-epair |

You should do the Scouseland habit of going in with a rucksack, packing it full, then walking out the door. You even give them a helping hand by not inconveniencing their till staff, or wasting any carrier bags at all. Tiz a philanthropic and thoughtful part of the world ____________________ Prize cunt

The free ones are useful for dog sh1te so I usually pick a few spare ones up and fill me pockets
I've decided recently to try and live a life where I never have to walk into a supermarket. Not easy...those barstewards almost have it sewn up ____________________ Space Is Deep |

If I can buy 10,000 carrier bags for £72 (0.72p a bag), how much can someone with the buying power of a large supermarkets buy them for? ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

I do shopping on the bike, therefore take my own bags. Carrier bags are just a bit under-par for my needs ____________________ The mistresses: 2000 Honda CBR600f, 2000 Honda VTR1000 |
