This is beyond belief what has happened today at my brothers charity.

My brother runs charities (100% non profits, NOBODY gets paid), run on volunteers and donations from the public to keep them going day to day. He has a few dotted around the country, two of them up here in Wigan.

They've had continual issues with a group of 12 - 15 year old kids over the past year at one of the charities. Issues ranging from just being loud and stupid inside the building, to leaving pron on the computers, to throwing stones at the building from outside.

As they're volunteer run and different people are running them on a daily basis, the kids can continually blag other volunteers that they aren't banned, etc.

So today, one of them who is known to the volunteers on duty, rocks up on his own to the entrance, puts a balaclava on, AFTER she's recognised him, pulls out a machete and brandishes it in the air without saying anything, just staring at her.

He then casually strolls out and leaves. She's phoned the police, they arrive and tell her and everyone else...

"We can't do anything about it because of their age".

Is that some kind of joke? There was 4 police officers in there, all saying the same thing. Even though the kid has been ID'd by a volunteer, carrying a fucking 3ft machete, they can't do anything about it?

My brother / mum / uncles / auntie volunteer their time in there on different days, will it take someone getting stabbed/carved up before they can "do something" ?

It's simple, we call the batman.

I believe the term to identify these kids is "Scrotes"

The point is, they're untouchable and they know it.

If anything were to happen to a family member because they "couldn't do anything about it", I would go fucking postal.

Actually made my blood boil this.

Untouchable and as soon as they are 18, they will still have that mindset and get put in prison for a few years, come out even worse and be a leech on society.

We need a new plague.

They aren't untouchable, they'd simply be tried in a youth court if some effort was put into investigating the offence. Lazy policing there, you should deffo put in a complaint.

Won't work. He only shows up hanging from important buildings if he hasn't seen his kids in a while.

Yeh where they get an ASBO, get to hang out with like minded individuals and lowers the chance they could make something of themselves.

I hope that you have the coppers numbers from their uniforms. Email to Chief Constable and your MP and Councillors.

I doubt it, anything short of murdering a cop or stealing from the wealthy will not warrant any prison time.

I've considered working for similar organisations, the teachers don't last more than 3 months from the hate and abuse they get.

As such there are very few willing to do it so they can never climb out.

Do all three, then tazer the little shit until he bleeds from his eyes and turns on fluorescent lights wherever he goes.

The cops have fobbed you off and neglected their duty.

Criminal responsibility starts at age 10 so they can do something. If he was under 10 they can also do something by working with social services as he is a danger to himself and others. You should make in a complaint directly to the Chief Constable in a letter marked 'private and confidential'.

Kid was under 16, not entirely sure but one of the volunteers reckons he's 14.

I mean, what the actual fuck? Doesn't even make any sense what they said, the kid was holding a machete, regardless if he did anything with it or not, he was committing a crime.

Might put together a bank heist crew of 12yr olds because if they get caught, the police can't do anything about it!

The thing is if the kid was waving a machete around whilst in a balaclava then, surely that is evidence enough that he is aware what he is doing is wrong (why else would be hide his face) if police do nothing about it then they are allowing the kid to endanger the public.

Keep a baseball bat (and a few balls) on premises to "play with" the poor little tykes, then if they do it again Your reaction with said baseball bat will be self defence.

After all he was a "masked" attacker, how were you to know he was only twelve or whatever,

Personally I think they should be shipped off to jail or a suitable isolated youth hostel regardless of age once they start committing violent and or unprovoked offences,

Any parent should also lose automatic custody of said child and be prosecuted for neglect/ abuse for allowing the child to have become that way and any other/ future children to be put in care.

No economic/ social hardship that a child is likely to suffer in the u.k. can be an excuse to brandish a machete to someone or generally terrorise/ rob/ assult people for the sake of it,

No excuse unless you are a coked up 10 year old in sierra leon kidnapped and brainwashed to fight a war to be walking the streets with a machete.

Get CCTV.
Get photos up of the banned kids too, seems a pretty simple way to sort the issue of not knowing who's banned or not.

The beauty of social media is that you dont need a slow news day for a reporter to come and listen to your story and give it 3 inches on page 27 next week....maybe.

I'd go to town on it, name the police officers and their station, tell the whole story on facebook/twitter and get the papers involved for good measure....now whilst the police will respond with "we're conducting an internal investigation" (otherwise known as we will not do anything about this whatsoever), the issue will be made known to the whole public, and with any luck people will rally to either kick seven bells of shit out of the little cunts, or at least inundate the police station with phone calls demanding something be done.

Basically, if they have to interrupt their 14 hr coffee break more than a couple of times a day to answer the phones, they'll likely actually do something about it to return to the status quo.

Give them hell for 14 days straight and I'll wager the problem will magically disappear.

The actual fuck? Get down to the cop shop, speak to an inspector. Insist on a crime number. Get on to Professional Standards - and name every twat who's tried to NFA it - and then the IPCC.

And the press.

And the local MP.

And the Commissioner.

Talk to the local rag, top honcho at the police and crime commissioner.

My mum had a possible success with the local rag.

Sounds like just the sort of thing they'd love.

Let it be known to the police, papers etc that the local charity is going to be closed because police leave it to be attacked by armed mobs.
