it looks fairly well jammed in ____________________ "There are some things nobody needs in this world, and a bright-red, hunch-back, warp-speed 900cc cafe racer is one of them - but I want one anyway, and on some days I actually believe I need one. That is why they are dangerous."

I saw a Blackbird dropped in the mud at the Farmyard party this year. It went down pretty hard, but when he wiped the crap off it there was hardly a scratch on it. The screen split, but that was an aftermarket item. Bloody well made, so much so that I'm currently shopping for one. ____________________ I was only doing what it said on my licence officer....

Suzuki... they have really smooth gearboxes, a bit too smooth though.
Yamaha.... they have chains which snap on the M4 when going slightly fast.
Kawasaki.... they make really good chains, in fact the OE chain on my ZX6R out lived the engine. Shame that the clutch basket decided to go bang.
Honda, my NSR never made any attempt to kill me or my bank balance. |

Ive had 3 hondas up to now, and haveing heared storys of iffy gearboxes and bits rotting off on other makes... probably going to stick with them (bearing in mind the newest bike i'm likely to get is 10 years old or so..)
Certainly never had anything go wrong that wasn't down to normal wear, in fact things that really should have stopped working didn't.
I see it this way, most jap bikes serviced properly will run very well for a long time, especially hondas... any italian bike no matter how much attention it gets is liable to explode or have iffy electrics right out of the crate...
Hondas main downside is there bikes are either uglyer or duller than comparative bikes from the other three major japanese manufacturers, i like the look of allot, but i think most people dont.. they are probably the VW of the bike world, long lasting sturdy btu.. not all that exciteing looking... ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |
