came out to my motorbike this morning and found that my bike cover had been removed (unclipped from underneath) and placed next to the bike.
I have no idea why anyone would have done this - other than to see if it was locked up - but surely they wouldn't ahve needed to remove the cover like that? just a quick peak underneath...???
It was locked up - (a big D-lock passing through the rear wheel/frame), plus the steering lock (although not sure how much use that is).
am i being paranoid? or would this be some sort of 'check' being done by some thieving bitch-tits and maybe they return another time with some beefy tools to break the lock off? not sure how strong the lock is (its a Trelock - bicycle D-Lock).
i have an oxford chain, but no padlock. im thinking i should probably have this added while its locked up outside my flat.
just a rather puzzling experience - and it definitley didnt blow off of the bike. its clipped in from underneath the bike (its an Oxford bike cover)....... no obvious attempt on the lock - no marks/chunks taken out of it...... ____________________ Honda CG 125 W - Turkish - 1998 - 2015 RIP |

Oxford chains and bicycle locks are the equivalent of putting a note on your bike saying "Please do not steal".
If you think an Almax and ground anchor look expensive, compare them to the excess on your insurance and increased premiums for 5 years. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

As already said, get an Almax and chain to something unmoveable.
If you don't have the cash now, can you not borrow from family etc if you explain your bike has been checked out by theives?

You live in Brighton, rape alarms are plentiful.
Basically, they have a pin that you pull out, usually a tag on each side.
You can tie these through 2 small holes and when they pull the cover off, it pulls the pin and WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH. 120db of cunting screeching |

i'll call Almax. i may just reloacte to a garage for the mean time untill i can get my chain sorted. i guess im lucky it was only checked out.
they may have seen that its a CG and decided not to bother .....perhaps the curiosity was too much for them with the cover on an all. i wonder how dissapointed they were.... ____________________ Honda CG 125 W - Turkish - 1998 - 2015 RIP |

i would accept that, except for the fact it was a windless night (its been out in worse and never had this happen).
also, its a rucksack type clip (the one where you push it in either side to slide out) there's no way it would unclip in strong winds - it'd have to tear it off.
besides, its was crumpled into a ball next to the front wheel - dont think the wind is that considerate ____________________ Honda CG 125 W - Turkish - 1998 - 2015 RIP |

Damn man, I have the same bike as you, do people really steal shitty CG's?
I guess I assumed it just wasn't worth their time or hassle for such a cheap bike?
Having said that, my cover was unclipped and crumpled next to my bike about 2 months ago, I did attribute it to the wind but now I'm starting to wonder...
Good luck anyways. ____________________ The above post is most likely nonsensical.
