I know it sounds like I have a strange case of teh gay, but I do miss my bike when I am apart from it for a few days or more. I find myself looking at pictures of it.

Is there a word for this? Motophile? Biwheelsexual?

But really though, I do miss it. Embarassed

When I'm away? I miss my bike when I'm walking to University and see somebody ride past me. Laughing

I do on a rare occasion... but riding 1 mile each way regularly isn't exactly the best thing for engine longevity Laughing

Been away from mine for just over a week and won't get back home until late tonight. Itching to get back on and go for a ride more than anything. Bounce!

I miss just being able to ride my bike at any time, day or night. I don't do that where I live now because it's too fecking expensive and tooo much hard work to get my bike registered here. (not living in the UK). If I get 'caught', I would likely get a 1000Euro fine so I don't risk riding for anything other than my commute to work and back. Sad

Try being away from it for 6 months cos you don't wanna take the chance of possibly crashing (or more likely having someone crash into you) whilst you're carrying a baby Razz And knowing that even once the baby arrives (5 weeks to go!) you're not likely to get out on it for another couple of months because your bike gear aint gunna fit you and you're going to need someone to look after baby when you do go out. AND when you do get out on it, it's going to be the dead of winter and nowhere NEAR as fun conditions as the actually alright summer we've just had.

And THEN, just as you're getting used to not seeing it outside the window, getting use to the fact that it's in your dads garage getting peeked at by god knows who, just at the point where the weathers turning and you're beginning to think about it a little bit less.... someone makes a post asking how much you miss your bike.

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I never miss my bikes as I have a van, so I can always take one with me for if I fancy a quickie.

Yep.

I work offshore, so have to spend a good two weeks away from it at a time. Usually one of the first things I do when I get back is head straight out for a ride, under the guise of food shopping!

That reminds me of the story about the Irish man who had sex with a princess and caught his balls in the exhaust.

Miss my bike and the kamerradderrie of my bike mates. (who are probably not even real mates as I wouldn't have any of the fuckers over to the house if anything 'nice' was happening. Smile )

Certainly miss it commuting any other way in London. Longing eyes looking out of bus and car windows as bikes saunter up the middle of traffic. Mr. Green

Such stoicism.

You're clearly a man who has been through some hard times.

I've just got a cheap car for the winter, and been lazy lately and taking that to work (quicker and saves getting changed), I've not ridden my bike since Tuesday evening until 1530 today. I loved it. Longest I've been since getting it in Feb without using it.

Sadly I think that might be the last time it gets used until a week on Monday, although might use it tomorrow to pop to the station, and Tuesday after work to see a friend, but going away to said friends for a long weekend and the car is just going to be more useful.
