EFI is from an upgrade for the ZZR250 ninja

common rail system injectors run at 1.84gms ps each squirt

timed by linking to the ignition pickup as you cant use a lambda sensor on a 2 stroke

cheers

hey all

thanks for the good feedback

the EFI kit is from a company called Ecotrons in the states they say it needs a little modifying to get it working well thats a bit of an understatement but all in all it was not to bad a job.

all in with new cables filters and cost of kit with shipping and duties to pay its around $1000 which seems steep but if you think how much a good quality set of carbs are its not to bad its about £790 in our money

cheers

What's it like in terms of mapping the injection?

Yes please tell us more about the tuning. So your not using an o2 sensor in the pipes, but what about an EGT sensor? TPS? Air inlet temp/pressure?

Is the EFI set up totally separate from the ignition system or are you using a combined ignition/fuel ECU, and if so is the ignition timing 2D or 3D mapped?

Oh yeah and is your high pressure fuel pump mounted inside the fuel tank?

That's awesome. One of my favorite bits is the clocks, they look like normal retro ones until you look closer!

hi
im learning as i go and being advised by Ecotrons they said it has to run through a learning process to start with before any adjustments can be made to the mapping and if you email them the results of the edu recordings they will make these adjustments for you.
as i said before they are very helpful.
the ignition tells the injectors when to do there thing by connecting the pickup sensor to the main loom from the efi ecu
you can use 2d or 3d mapping with the procal software supplied
as i said the tech side is still a bit new to me so i cant answer any deep and meaningful q's
cheers
