Hi i recently got a gsx 600f 96. Whitch wouldnt start but thanks to the helpfull people on here i got it to fire up Thumbs Up now the only problem is i can get. it to idel fine but wen i toutch the throttel it just dies, wen i do manage to rev it it take a few seconds to die down, also wen i put the choke on the revs shout up a fair bit. I fitted new exhaust gaskets cuz it was blowing and found one of the holes for the bolts rounded off (is much better with new gaskets but still blowing slightly) and wen i cleaned the carbs i had to cut one of the clamps off cuz the screw was rusted to f**k, could that be the problem? Too muck air gettin in throu it? And once again thanks for the help last time people.

If you spray some WD40 around the inlet manifolds and the revs rise there is an air leak.

Hi i got another jublie clip on the manifold thay all look fine ie no cracks or nothing tried with wd40 didnt seem to make much difference. Someone set to adjust fuel/air screw to 3 turns out, did that an the engine sounds a little better when ideling but still dies wen u toutch the throttle unless the choke is on. Need to get it sorted soon or it will have to go Crying or Very sad

Hi

Take the tops off the carbs (be careful, there is probably a tiny O ring near one corner of each of them and you don't want to lose those) and check the condition of the diaphragms in them

All the best

Keith

Many BCF members work 13hr shifts, some even longer, and yet they have the time to spell correctly.

"TXT speak" really doesn't go down well here, or on any forum IMO.

Hi

Also check the vacuum pipe to the fuel tap. The way it is running does sound like the symptoms of it being lean from an air leak.

All the best

Sorry i tried to upload a pic before, for some reason it wont let me. The inlet manafolds are fine and so is the o rings, could it just be the engines gone?

Say what you want about dad - but he's good in bed. Ask my brother.
