Something or other gave out & ended up getting recovered by the other half.
Need to whip the top end back off, but feels like zero compression & theres fuel/oil round the cylinder base leaving me to think the top end either needs re-torquing down or the base gasket diddnt seal propperly. ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

She was in bed prior to playing recovery truck. Was entertaining driving through Strood McDonalds with the bike hanging out the back.
Ordered new little end bearing, new rings and another top end gasket set today. Hopefully gonna be here tomorrow & i'll try and get the bloody thing stripped this afternoon. Initial inspection flagged up the front RHS head stud was fecking loose. Dont know why, further investigation required & a torque wrench upon reassembly I feel - It'll teach me for rushing though wont it
Edit - the cause for the engine failiure became apparent as soon as i removed the barrel. The LHS circlip had failed, got stuck in the transfer port & smashernated my new piston & rings. Have filed an emergency last minuite order with Grampian's & will rebuild again tomorrow.

Cylinders not too bad though, the circlip made its way back down the transfer port - quick hone will sort that

It's running again. Only had the chance to quickly fire it up in the back of the workshop as i've been fiddling with it in 30min sprints whilst the boss sorts out paperwork upstairs. Honed the shit out of the barrel, but theres still some major scoring in there. I think it'll munch rings quickly & not make optimal compression, but it's enough to start so time will tell.
Two deaded pistons;

And my first attempt at two stroke porting. I've attempted to increase the width of the exhaust port above the height of the transfer ports in the hope that it'll not blow loads of fresh air fuel mix straight out of the port. I've also raised the port height slightly & smoothed out a lot of the casting marks. Diddnt want to go too nuts first time out & feel that a munched cylinder is the ideal thing to play about with.

Purple liquid is two stroke oil I smothered the bore & piston in for re-assembly ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

Despite JT sprockets claiming they dont make anything bigger to alter the gearing of the H100 I've been looking some specs over.
Figured an MB80 sprocket would probbably fit if i used the retainer plate too. Its damn close on the cases..

2X AP8152040 - HEX SOCKET SCREW M6X20 £0.22
2X 8152184 - WASHER 6.4X12 £0.62
1X 726.04.82 (Larsson's number) JTF253-17 (JT part number) - SPROCKET 17T 420 PITCH £3.64
1X 726.33.20 (Larsson's number) - FRONT SPROCKET LOCK PLATE £2.04
Total: £6.52 - Tried, tested & workable. Think that plus the 90/90/18 rear puts the gearing about as high as you'll get on one of theese. This setup allows for 73.4mph @ 8,000rpm, however unsure if the engine will actually get that far unless going downhill. ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.
