Get on both bikes, test rides etc. Then chose the one you like the look of most (becuase that's what you'll do anyway ) |

As above - weight on the bars is bad. So you should be getting back pain as the weight should be held by your 'core' rather than wrist pain .
Also - might want to consider an edit of the links, which have your postcode in.
Just stick in the postcode for somewhere else. |

Both of those are over priced, you should be looking at 06-08 bikes for that money. Of the two the Kwak has more oomph and a slightly less silly riding position. 06 Daytonas are easily within range however. ____________________ Triumph Daytona 675 track bike + girlfriend's Honda Hornet 600

Those, you've found, are not cheap, I'd look somewhere else, but IF you want it, then there's no need to hold yourself back. And I'd say 636 is the bike, I like the message/idea kawasaki gives, the fastest but not the best. As, I ride a ZX7R at the moment I know what that means, great engine though.
EDIT: I think, it's the engine what defines a motorcycle. Other bits are bought from catalogue and replaceable, anyway. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

Well I think it's obvious which I'd go for
Having said that, I've never ridden the Kawasaki. ____________________ Yamaha RXS 100 > Honda CD 250 > Honda Hornet 600 > Honda CBR 600RR > Yamaha RXS 100 > Kawasaki ZX6R J2 > Yamaha FZ1 |

I'd go kwak but maybe thats biased
I'm 5''10 and don't get much discomfort on long rides on my 05, over about 4 hours it becomes straining on the knees but i think thats likely to happen on even the comfiest of bikes so its probably not too bad if you're a similar height to me.
I'd go kwak of those 2 purely on the money, the 'extras' thrown in on the CBR aren't much in excess of the additional money anyway i wouldn't of thought.
You can probably get both of them a few hundred cheaper in either case though [unless you need them particularly local and they're all that was available]. |

Have you had a check of biketrader and the like to get some idea what they're selling for privately also, i've always found dealer/p-x prices to be way below so far, not saying they always are but you might find they're going for a fair whack more if you sell it yourself, if its an option with time/having no bike for a while of course
I'm probably being biased but i've personally never had a single problem with my zx6 in the 3 and a bit years i've had it now would really recommend them for the price they go for, think they look rather tasty too |

Mine came decaled up to the eyeballs too, had to sit for a few hours stripping them all off
No idea about the honda regards this, but so far mines held its value really well to be honest so they seem a fairly safe investment for now at least. I bought it for a shade over 3800 IIRC at 1.2k on the clock just over 3 years ago and I could probably sell it for only a few hundred less now, going by the ones i've seen selling on biketrader the last few months - at 21k miles now. |

Personally I'd go for the Ninja.
Although both are pretty decent by the looks of the ad. ____________________ "unbelievable"
