 |
|
Hi people, I'm a newbie in terms of this forum and to bike riding!
Been riding for 5 weeks on my new Chinese Lexmoto xtrs 125 ( good value for the money)
I've had about 11 hours of training so far ( paid for 20 and the two tests) and passed my Mod 1 yesterday.
My question to you experienced folk is, where would you advise me to take my Mod 2 test, in a town I don't know the area of, or my own Town?
My trainer normally takes his students to the other Town for the test, but my instinct tells me to take it in my back yard so to speak
Any advice would be gratefully accepted |

Take it in a town you don't know.that way you will concentrating more on what you are doing looking a road signs etc you honestly stand a better chance of passing this way doing it in your own town you are liable to get to confident and fuck it up |

I did my first Module 2 in Worcester, which I know like the back of my hand. The examiner, fat Tony, who is infamous amongst riding schools around here, failed me for saying I couldn't see clearly enough at a roundabout when I pulled away. How he knew this when he was at least 100ft behind me at the time is beyond me.
For my retake I went to Gloucester, which is don't know at all, and my examiner was a relief one, really nice guy, and because he didn't know the area either did not mind that I was travelling at 40 in a 30 for a considerable amount of time.
The pass rates for each test centre are published online, IIRC Gloucester was around 80% and Worcester was just over 50. Let that be your guide. ____________________ Triumph Daytona 675 track bike + girlfriend's Honda Hornet 600
