Have you tried removing the links? Maybe get the same garage that welded up your front sprocket to weld the chain back together too Thumbs Up

Replace the chain. Replace the sprockets. As you have been a nob and welded your crankshaft replace that as well.

Wear and tear doesn't cover welding a sprocket on to the end of the output shaft. That counts as ruining it.

Oh and 6000 miles? That's not even halfway through a normal chain and sprocket set life span. Stuck links indicate poor maintenance. I'm not surprised though.

19,000 miles on my OEM YBR chain & sprockets, recently moved the adjusters onto notch number 3 of 8.

Inadequate maintenance, pure and simple.

Sorry but you are dealing with a brain dead moron who seems to maintain his bikes in the worst possible way (eg swarfega is a good chain lube Thumbs Up type moron).

The little shit has been given more than enough advice from the BCF masses and has constantly disregarded and/or thrown it back in their faces, claiming it's his own expert knowledge (maybe a few can prove me wrong on this case), and even going as far as charging his 'friends' for help.

Apparently according to Charloam, the guy who I sold my YBR to managed to knacker the fresh C&S set i put on it before sale in sub 2,000 miles to the extent where he claimed that the chain actually fell off whilst riding. I'm really not too sure what could potentially make a chain fail that quickly unless you soaked it in salt water every night, never lubed it & tightened the chain up to zero play every time you rode it anywhere Laughing


TBF i bought a cheap chain from Brookes Barn for a ybr125 and it stretched about 5mm every 100 miles and had to be replaced in less than 2000 miles. It was only used in the dry, well loobed and the wheel alignment and cush drive were fine.

Point is if that's the case you've managed to kink the chain in 2 weeks and still don't think you've ruined your bike and it's all just down to wear and tear

Face it, it needs more than maintenance now - a new owner would help
