I always say hello and give it a loving pat when I open the garage door (the bike....) and when it goes back in the garage I usually say thank you (for not killing me today) and again a pat goodnight.

Or is it just me?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Not just you.

Then again, I apologise to all the other forks in the cutlery tray that I didn't select for my meal eating purposes at that time.

Errr, that's just you! Very Happy

Although when mine was sputtering and misfiring once I did offer up a prayer along the lines of "don't break down now, keep on going, I'll change your oil, please keep going, I love you, nearly home, keep going..." etc. Wink

Bike, car, van and various electrical appliances from time to time. I have this weird thing about the interconnectedness of all things so it doesn't seem overly odd to me.

As long as they aren't talking back to you I don't think you've too much to worry about Razz

If I were the fork that you selected, I'd be the one demanding the apology.

I occasionally do it ("please don't kill me today" and "thanks for not killing me"), with or followed by a pat. Laughing

Why?, I'm helping it achieve forkness, its raison d'etre.

Pepperami walks into his garage and say`s "hello" to his bikes most times he walks into his garage Embarassed

After a particularly good ride and me and the bike get home in one piece , I have even been know to say "thank you sweetheart" to my bike!

Weird? gay? sick? freaky? maybe, possibly.

Sometimes it depends on the situation, a bad ride where I'm not feeling 100% then yes it's like a calming technique.
