Hello after some messing about with my clutch plates I finally got new plates and friction plates also springs. After fitting then as manual said to do so my clutch does not work as soon as I put clutch in and knock it into 1st it stalls I have tried and tried...starting to give up it just seems as if the clutch wasn't ther and Iam pulling the clutch lever for nothing I have had help off alain followed his instructions and still no joy anyone here can tel me what Iam doin Rong or if I have missed something cheers

hi,
did you put the new plates in just like the old ones?
most clutches i have done, the last plate should be off-set, unlike all the other ones,

Hello I soaked then in oil and followed the manual on how to install them it seen as if iam missing something

any play in the cabble or not enough or to much. or the release lever engine end

Did you replace all the bits that you took out? Sounds like that the clutch isn't working because something is missing.

check with cmsnl just to be sure.........not seen pics.............is there a ball in the mech on this bike, suspect not as suspect clutch release system all on the clutch side rather than cable mech on opposite side?? as i said i've not seen the pics

so clutch release all, on clutch side........check all your work, spacer missing from behind clutch or tween baslet and drum??

re check all your work.

Tried that and reinstalled the clutch 4 times nothings missing everything's placed as its suppose to be am really lost on this one...

It's a project iam doin the engine has been sat for a while engine fun perfect just the clutch that's been a bitch!! I will take photos off the steps iam doin to assemble the clutch try and make it easy just in case I have missed something cheers everyone

not sure about yours i brought a bike been standing and the bar behind the release mechanism was missing called the pusher peice it was doing what yours is. also show some pics on the clutch cabble release engine end

Problem solved

Terns out I needed a extra washer on my clutch hub but thers oready one on the back manual says nout about that big thanks for everyone's help
